BIOGRAPHY
“I have fallen into expanding the ideation that lingers inside my mind as it involves expression based on the fascination that I encounter with the complexities of emotions that may occur at any moment as it approaches and catches other’s attention through the eyes, experience and collective memory”.

As working with mediums and ideation, Amira Syahirah or known as Crystal started of with gathering the crucial understanding of emotions and deconstruct it into ideation with the concept of collective memory, selfhood subjectivity, experience and uncannily connected to disorient beliefs with the happening issues that may not be seen with naked aggression. By using the collective films and media, literature, proverb on her own footage, media, drawings, sound software, she can distort the images, video, and language of conveying her interpretation while challenging herself constructing the connections between the artwork and audience.
Amira was born in Subang Jaya, Selangor, in 2000s. Amira has been interested with the art itself since she was 5 years old and she explores more before the parents object her from pursuing art subject. Therefore, she started with diving into art since high school attended Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Kelana Jaya ( 2013 – 2017). She expand her interest of art by taking Diploma in Fine Arts at University Teknologi Mara (2018 – 2021) and Degree in Fine Arts (2021 - 2023), this is where the journey begins of discovering herself in the world of fine art itself.
As she forwards her studies in Master of Fine Arts and Technology Coursework, attendant the same university, Amira discovered a new medium that can be expressed into art form by a projection, manipulation footage, images, film, sound, and dimension according to the principle and elements of art. She started kicking off with creating a stop motion artwork with the theme appreciation on traditional clothing through reminiscence of her grandmother from the 90s era evolution in the modern days, titled “Kebaya Ku” (2022). The work was presented with 132 frame picture that converted into a video of 91 seconds, the scenes will be slowly starting off with a focus point onto the attire as it
